Open Water Kayaking, Nudists, Coffee, Fish & Chips

10 January 2015 saw a number of club members - Andy, Ian, Teck, Ralph, Hillary, Scott and Teri hit the open water for some skills development.  After a safety briefing on Yarra Bay we paddled around to Little Congwong beach where wet exits, paddle float techniques, rolling and T rescues were practiced.  The locals clad only with tits, dicks and bush watched with amusement.  From there we paddled out to Cape Banks where a gentle sea swell exposed a range of boat and set up deficiencies.  Paddling back into Botany Bay and around Bare Island, no sign of the bombora and back to Yarra Bay.  What a great way to spend a summer morning, some kayaking, some swimming and a lot of fun.  Once we hit the beaches, kayaks were quickly stored onto cars before the serious business of post paddle coffee and fish and chips at La Perouse.
