Anzac Day Paddle to Refuge Bay 25th April 2018
The plan is to paddle from either Rodd Point or Drummoyne Boat Ramp down the Parramatta River to Cockatoo Island on the Saturday.
Spend the night Camping or Glamping on Cockatoo Island.
Explore the convict and ship building heritage on the island or just hang out at one of the bars on the island.
The paddle will be less than 10km to get to the island, we would pack all out gear into the kayaks or canoes.
Note their are Glamping Packages (tent and strectcher supplied) which are $100 a night for 2 adults or camp (4x4m piece of grass) for $50 per night.
The 1990's TV series Sylvania Waters took an up-close view into people’s lives in this southern Sydney waterfront suburb.
