Registrations are now open for the first Whitewater Skills Weekend for the 2018/19 season.

The operators at WaterNSW are confident that there are likely to be releases from Burrinjuck Dam similar to our skills weekends early in 2018 which were ideal.  As always rain could turn off releases but the Murrumbidgee in Canberra will be an alternative or wherever there is water.

As with the previous weekends, this one is for paddlers of all abilities to hone their skills.  The only prerequisite is that you can paddle a creek boat in a straight line and do a wet exit with a spray deck (if you can’t do this yet then check out the RCC website for an opportunity to gain those skills http://www.rivercanoeclub.org/event_calendar/month/2018-12 ).

If you are an experienced whitewater paddler but not yet an instructor please consider coming along to either get some on the job training to become an instructor, help fish beginners and boats out of the water, work on your own whitewater skills or just have a great weekend away on a pleasant stretch of river.

For our safety management everyone that is coming needs to register.

You will need to register before 30th December (preferably earlier) as we have a lot of logistics to organise.

Registrations are at

This is a new registration system so if you are using it for the first time you will need to set up an account with Webscorer when you begin to register.

The weekend is free for PaddleNSW members, members of PNSW affiliated clubs or kids in the PNSW junior development program.  Others can either join a club, PNSW or take out a single event registration.
